PFO (hole in the heart) and migraine aura

I have been suffering with migraine aura sine I was 14. I'm now 21 and was diagnosed with a hole in my heart called pfo today. I was wondering if anyone else has this? They supposedly cause migraine auras... 50 percent of the time so guess that's my cause. Really scared. Can anyone help? Anyone else have this?

when i was diagnosed with one, 4 years ago, it was determined to be tiny and not likely to be causing my daily migraines.

as i recall (maybe faulty memory. though), the people with aura are the ones who are helped by fixing the PFO. i have never had one aura in 43 years, so unless my PFO were causing other problems, i chose to leave it alone. dianne
