transcranial magnetic stimulation

Going back to my neuro next month after an 18 month hiatus..........want to talk to her about the possibility of transcranial magnetic stimulation. Anyone ever tried it?

nope, i haven't tried it. this is a treatment for depression, but could be used for other things, according to mayo clinic website.

it sounds a bit scary (but so do all the drugs we take, of course) in that it seems to rearrange the neurons in the brain. people with metal in their bodies or implants (me, in my neck) can't do it.

i hope somebody here has tried this and can give us feedback. dianne
