Day 356, 704 or at least it seems like it...
So here I am, on Sunday, with yet another day of the migraine. I'm nauseated, i'm in pain, it is gruesome.
On Thursday, I go to see the Headache specialist that my nuero referred me to, since he didn't feel that he could help me anymore.
I must now however, find someone else to prescibe my blood pressure medication and the Prestiq that was given for headache prevention. Or to at least ween me off of it, since it's not doing a darn thing.
I've been preparing for my appointment by:
1. Documenting my medical history
2. Compiling the stacks of MRI, X-RAY, and CT Films that I have.
3. Writing down list of treatment options I've researched.
4. Writing down changes I've made-Limiting Caffine and sugar intake, mass amounts of water consumption, and overall a major decrease in refined sugar consumption. (I'm not even substituting with Splenda Etc.)
I know it's been a while since I posted...A lot of my time has been spent in pain, the other, trying to substitute teach to bring in some money as my husband and I are struggling fiancially. I've been lucky enough to make it through 5 days of subbing in the last two weeks with minimal difficulty. God is Good All the Time.
Wishing everyone pain free days,
LL

Lacey,
I was just thinking about you yesterday and hoping you were doing ok, as we haven't heard as much from you lately. I was hoping it was because you were feeling fabulous....unfortunately that ususally isn't the case
I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I hope your appointment goes well. I'm glad you were able to some sub days in. It sucks to have money worrys on top of everything else.
Good Luck!

Thank you. Yes, as my Mother reminds my husband, it's horrible to have such stress when I'm trying to be well.
We're trying to save for a house, because living in a 620 sq. ft apartment with a 90 lb. lab and a 12 lb. yorkie is just not working for us well at all.
I'm hoping I can find answers soon....We desperately want to start a family but I cannot imagine caring for an infant while having such horrible pain....We're praying for the best.

better or deal better with the M. I really hope better days for you two newlyweds.

Lacy, I wanted to share with you these video presentations:
http://hosted.mediasite.com/mediasite/Catalog/pages/catalog.aspx?catalogId=c2c14d85-d2a9-4626-9154-0505f47db6f7
I have only watched a couple, but I'm going to get to all of them.
The one by Dr. F is very informative. Maybe it could give you some direction.
Hugs!
Cheryl
