Relpax packaging: ARGH!
I really enjoy how Relpax comes in the "getting the pills out will make your migraine worse" packaging

Re: Relpax packaging: ARGH!
If they're the kind with the tear here tab that's never set up to tear correctly I take scissors and make the slit big enough to actually work. I tend to sit down on a good day, soon after I've refilled and I'll do this to all at one time. If it's the silly blister packs with the plastic on the back, making it so you can't push them through, I've just used scissors to open along the curve of the pill, but I shouldn't do it to all of them at once. When I did that they started falling out of the package inside my, don't leave the house without it, migraine kit.

Generic Imitrex is often packaged that way also. One company makes packaging that requires a scissors to open. I don't like to open it ahead of time because exposing it to air for any length of time may make it less effective. It means I must carry a small pair of scissors around with me as well as the medication.

I tried using a nail clippers (scissors) to puncture the plastic and stabbed myself in the finger. Good times.

I have an ultra pointy fingernail on my right thumb that I keep handy just for these occasions.
