Corrugator muscle removal and botox Empty Corrugator muscle removal and botox

Hi guys I've been away for a bit due to moving countries Smile

I have an appointment in a few weeks to see a surgeon at a migraine clinic in London that specialises in the removal of the corrugator muscle in the forehead. I am due to have botox injected into this muscle first to see if over a period of 8 weeks my migraines are much less. If there is a more than 50 % reduction in my headaches I can have an operation to remove this muscle.

I am very interested in this surgery as my migraines ALWAYS develop over that muscle area and during a migraine attack my worst pain is across my eyebrows. I rarely get headaches that start in the back on my neck or temples its always just above my eyes at the corners of my inner eyebrows.

Has anyone else here heard of this operation? I only came across this clinic after doing some research online about why my frown muscles are always so bunched up and swollen during a migraine and when I wake up with a headache, seems this muscle can interfere with the trigeminal nerve if it is overstimulated and this triggers a migraine attack in some people.

Hope everyone is doing well, I just came out of a 7 day full blown migraine that was horrendous, 3 full days of vomiting ugh......on a plus side though I lost 4 pounds yippee!! (have to try and look on the bright side)
