Really bad M this morning-need advice
Hi All,
I woke up this morning with an absolutely horrendous migraine. I'd rank it as a 9/10 pain wise. I just wanted to curl up and scream. But, then I thought my own screaming would be loud and would also wake K. (my roommate). So instead, I went ahead and took an extra dose of Klonopin and some tylenol 3 and benedryl. I am waiting for it to kick in.
I am at a loss as to what to right now. I am tired and headachey. I have two things I am planning to do today- training and some volunteer work at Bear. I think I'll be able to make it as I think most of the stuff at school is just organizing some stuff and listening to little kids read- when I love to do anyway. I am just praying that the meds kick in soon.
I am so tired of all of this. I am tired of the headache, tired of the fainting, and I hate the fact that a lot of drs have simply brushed the fainting off and said "well, everything looks normal." Would someone please explain how a hr of 115+ with normal sinus rhythm is ok?
I guess I am just frustrated, tired, and hurting right now.
I don't know what else to do except use some distrationg, wait for the meds to kick in and go from there.
I'd love any advice.
Pain free days,
sailingm

(((hugs))) We really need a hug smilie.
If you can get it OTC, Aleve (naproxin sodium), makes the Neurotin more bio-available and the Neurotin does the same for the Aleve. I've taken it on top of tylenol before, I just don't make a habit of it. If this isn't making sense, sorry I'm having a rough morning too.
Dh has a resting heart rate around that high. At this moment, he's sitting at 94, but he just got out of bed, so it's the lowest it'll be all day. Mine is sitting a 102, but I've had two large cups of tea, and a maximum strength mucinex, and I'm hanging out around a 6 at the moment, so it's going to be a bit higher. For us, this is a normal baseline.
I really don't have a ton of advice right now other than to just keep doing what you've been doing. I've got my fingers crossed that your next specialist will be able to find the end of your medical Gordian knot.
Take care of yourself, and know I've been thinking about you

HUGS
HUGZ to you both. Today must be the day for M's as I'm having a bad day of it too. spent the afternoon in bed trying to at least ditch the nausea. I have nothing constructive, just thought you both needed a hug. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

Really Bad Migraine
I can't say that I have any fabulous medical advice for you. But I did want to say that I feel for you. One thing that has helped me through the downs lately is to remember that what goes down must come up. It may not feel like it right now, but this too shall pass and you will feel better.
Migraines are really a roller coaster ride that no one wants to be on. I'm so sorry you're at the bottom right now. I hope that your meds have kicked in and that you're starting to feel better. My prayers are with you.

So sorry you are feeling so bad right now.
I truly feel your pain.
Woke up this morning with the worst pain I have had in at least a year.
I am on here trying to distract myself til my doctor's appt at 3:00 this afternoon.
Can your doctor come up with some pain meds for you to try?
Mine work well most of the time but lately I have had far too much breakthru pain.
Plan on discussing that with him this afternoon and hopefully getting a shot for this monster I have right now.
Why are they discounting your fainting?
To me that is ridiculous.
Just keep going til you get a doctor that will really listen and try to help.
I feel so bad for you because you have been thru so much.
Keeping you in my prayers.
Take care.
Cindy
