vent time Sad

Since starting the Topamax I just had low grade headaches that would hurt for days on end, then spike, but hey it was a lower level of pain. Not today! Sometimes I think my body likes to remind me that it is the boss just to keep me grounded... whatever I got the point. Cool

I woke around 3 am with "that" type of pain where I knew I should have taken a triptan, but I just couldn't even go do it. So at 7 am when I had to get up I took one and got my son and myself ready to leave (too late to call off of work!) I am vomiting non stop, my son is sick with RSV, and my head is pounding so bad. Evil or Very Mad

I worked 8 hours with this mess (while trying to hide symptoms, and appearing woozy from the triptans) all so I can keep my crappy job and pay my bills. YUCK, such is life with migraines.

I finally got it to go away, but it was such a fast and severe migraine that I feel so physically drained. It is crazy how whatever it is that is going on physiologically can take such a toll!

How do you guys bounce back from the "hangover" after effects? I am whooped!

I know how you feel, that "hangover" feeling is awful. It feels like every ounce of energy has been drained from me and I don't know how I even function. I move at a snail's pace and every task seems momentous. The best way I know to get through the postdrome phase is sleeping or at least resting. Either that or try to do something you enjoy to keep your find off the fact that you're exhausted.

What is really crappy is that when I finally start to feel better, get over the fatigue and all, I know I have only a short time of feeling well before another M starts No

I hope you can find a way to bounce back that works with your life, although I know its a hard thing to do.

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to really bounce back except letting it pass. I find if I try to push myself too hard to get moving during that stage I will invariably end up bringing the M back full force.

I know exactly how you feel and like the other posters have said, I just have to rest and not push myself.

Unfortunately that means putting off housework, cancelling appointments, etc., which we all hate to do.

I wish there were something that would take that exhausted feeling away but as of yet I have not found it.

Hope everyone is feeling well today.
