sinus buster

for those who have tried this....did it do anything?

Did nothing for me.

Nope! Dang that stuff burns so bad...the inside of my nose is usually raw from rhinitis, so that stuff was horrible. Even stuck with it twice a day for maybe a few days or a week, but nothing. I'd bet if someone isn't overly sensitive to it and has a stuffy nose, it would be great though. To me, its just another one of those gimmicky headache "cures". Best wishes.

I was at a pain clinic when I tried it. It did not help the headache. Minutes after using it, I started vomitting so much that I had to take phenergan. The headache was so bad, that I tried it once more, after taking phnergan 3O minutes before- same reaction. It was like pepper spray to me. The doctors at the clinic said they had never seen anyone react like that. So, NO, it did not help.

what in the world is this??? I have no idea what you are talking about?? Sinus Buster? It sounds so devious, I just had to ask. (funny though, I might have tried it and just not know this is what it is called!!! lol)

Its a capsaicin pepper nose spray (otc, mainly available online)...awful stuff, but some people swear it will kill off a headache by clearing out the sinuses, and since capsaicin is a natural pain reliever.

It has provided me relief. On a rare occasion it has aborted a headache, but mostly it helps me get through the days of milder/moderate headaches without having to resort to pain killers. Sometimes I take the spray 4 times an hour.

I keep it in my purse at all times and do consider it useful for me.

It made my nose get extremely stuffy after the inital burn wore off.

I didn't have too much trouble with side effects - mild burning that didn't bother me. Maybe I have calluses in my nose :-)

If I used it at the beginning of a migraine, it seemed to back off the symptoms for 10 minutes or so, then they would come back. I tried repeating the spray and got another 10 minutes. I guess if I kept using it it might of held off the migraine longer, but I generally gave up after two sprays.

Made no difference to me. Gave me a slight runny nose.
