My neuro called because I missed my appointment.
I emailed him to tell him I wasn't very hopeful of getting there Monday.
And this evening he gave me a call.
Didnt get a whole lot out of it for now, but the gist of it....
Migraine and FMS are connected.....YES he didnt say co morbid, he said CONNECTED.
No worry about rebound from Triptans unless consistently taking more than 12 a month and even then it's an individual thing.
Some people will never get rebound. I DONT HAVE IT, he said....
Told him about Diane and he said. Okay, that is what some people have to do, you have to live and if all else fails, its daily Triptans.
They are very safe, safer than migraines.....
OTC not a problem in higher quantities as long as not increasing and feeling the need for more because they work less.
He is prepared to offer me Botox in December (I have to think about this).
My migraines are likely due to sleep patterns, and yes sleep studies are rare over here (cost).
The Levadex inhaler is looking good and should be out early next year, he hopes.
I am sure we chatted more than that, but my brain is now dead for the night.
Anyway, just thought you might like to know he took the trouble to call.

That's great! It sounds like you finally found a doctor who cares and is going to work on it with you. That's half the battle.

Hi Dawn...Where have you been..HA!!
We did have a good chat and I had asked him on email, if he could call.
At least he did.
I am not sure about the Botox. You know I am not very brave and this is a training session.
Its the day of my daughter's 30th and also 9 days before Christmas.
What if it goes wrong? Can it go wrong?
Not sure I want to be a guinea pig....
I just had a 7 days break from migraine after a lousy 3 weeks prior to.
I wish I had some idea how that happens. Bad/Better, I am clueless.
I have suffered to day though for the break. Migard at 8am and it took 4 hours to touch it.
It is down to about a 5 now, but keeps changing sides....
I am glad he cleared me of rebound thought, less stress.
He says it seems to be a personal thing, and he is sure that I am not getting it.
I am thankful for that. But not really any further forward otherwise.
Cheers,
