I have a new Boyfriend!!!

So.. I joined match.com a few months ago and met Fidel there. I decided this time around to take things very slowly and really get to know someone before jumping into dating. I figured if he is really interested in me, he will take the time to get to know me and work at my pace. After emailing and talking on the phone for several weeks, we started dating a little over a month ago and spent a lot of time talking and getting to know each other.

I had to cancel a couple of dates due to migraine attacks and actually showed up on our third date with my cane as my feet were hurting a lot. I figured if he scared easy, the cancelled dates and the cane would do the trick. After we got to know each other a bit and he wanted to get more serious about me, I told him all about what is going on with my health, again giving him an easy out if he wanted it. But he stuck!!

We can be who we are with each other. Which is not something I have had in other relationships. I've always had to censor myself as there would always be something that caused issues. Not so this time! I feel like we've known each other forever. The only people I've ever been able to talk to this easily have been my family and a few friends. Not one previous boyfriend or even my ex-husband were as easy to talk to as Fidel.

My daughter and our roommate have ok'd him so there aren't any red flags that they've noticed. After my last couple of relationships, Sarah has to ok anyone I date. My kids HAVE to like whoever I am dating.

So several months into this, he is my new boyfriend. I'm so twitterpated! Life is good!

Yes, by all means take it slow and with due diligence. Watch out for any "problem spots".
Get to know this person well, see him in many situations, like test his patience, stress level in different situation etc
before you'll trust him more.

So far I've been impressed. One of the key points I've learned to watch for is how they treat wait staff in restaurants. Fidel is very nice, tips wells and never creates a scene. One guy I dated thought it made him look like a big man to create a scene in a restaurant to get free drinks and such, so embarrassing. Everywhere we've gone and whatever we've done, he's been a gentleman. Another rarity. He didn't even try for a kiss until the 4th date and that was just a little peck.

My eyes are open for the red flags and so far so good. I've had too many disasterous bf's to not keep my eyes open this time.
