Digestion and head pain
Occasionally I get indigestion and head pain, like if I eat on the move. But I have noticed that the heartburn can give me very sharp head pain in my temple. It is not a headache but the pain can be very sever but luckily it only lasts seconds. Does anyone else get this and does anyone know how the pain in the head can be related to my digestion, to me it doesn't make a lot of sense,

The only thing that comes to my mind is that when you eat, the blood stream concentrates on the stomach. So the pression lowers in the head and increases in the stomach.
In "normal" people this makes no difference, but in migraine sufferer it can be felt in certain conditions.

There are abdominal migraines. Maybe you are getting a combo of the abd. migraine and the traditional head pain migraine. My uncle gets this and it can really wipe him out. Ask your neuro. There isn't a whole lot of info on abdominal migraines that I can find.
The other thing is that your GI tract can stop during a migraine, stasis is the term. I get really bloated with a migraine and have that everything is just laying in my stomach sensation. Then it causes vomiting. This is why some docs give Reglan to take with the meds to get things moving.
Hope this helps.
