Spine Specialist Empty Spine Specialist

Post  Hal Fri Aug 06, 2010 10:17 pm

I have had a very bad migraine for two weeks now. Sometimes hitting well over ten on the pain scale. I can take the big time pain pills and they dull the pain, but it comes back. Going to see a spine specialist Tuesday to see if there might be a problem with my neck. Lots of pain at the base of my skull that radiates both into both sides of my head (mostly right side) and into my shoulders.

The pain is some of the worst I have ever had.

Hal - I saw your post and wondered how your visit with the spine specialist went. I have the same symptoms, just had 2 MRIs and am seeing a spine/migraine specialist next Tues. (24th). He is an anesthesiologist and does the injection things which I don't know much about. I just wondered how things went for you.

Yes Hal. How did it go? I hope you have some relief by now.
Your pain sounds a lot like my pain as you describe it.
But no one takes any notice at all....

I had a choice of getting the pain in the lower back taken care of or the pain in the neck. The lower back was affecting my walking so I decided that I would rather walk for now. The neck will get taken care of shortly. All of this thanks to some old fart that couldn't find the brake peddal of his car. Sooo, I still get the headaches. The Dr. thinks the neck may require surgery. Bummer.

That is a bummer Hal. What damage was done in the car accident? What area will they operate on?

Hope you feel better soon. I gather your not storm chasing at the moment.

I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get the migraines treated, Hal. I hope it at least works for the lower back. And hopefully you'll find something for the migs. Thanks for the update.
