Does anyone take prescription strength motrin and toradyl together?

Does anyone take prescription strength motrin and toradyl together..sorry, my head is hurting..I 've typed this over and over again..just doesn't look right...brain isn't working

My stomach has really been hurting..Yes, I do has IBS..

Wendy, Sorry you are feeling so badly. I cant take any anti-inflammatories. The one time I tried Toradol (injectable), I had GI bleeding. I would not take both at the same time, even if I could.

Sorry you're hurting Wendy. I have taken 600 mg of Motrin with Tylenol and haven't had a problem.

When Paul took Toradol by mouth, that was the only thing that really did bother his stomach to the point of us having to get an upper GI because his stomach hurt all the time (and he wasn't necessarily taking it all the time, but probably 3 times a week). I think it was called Ketorolac but that is Toradol. Turns out that it is super hard on the stomach and we'd been using it too often I guess.....but it was the only thing that would sometimes touch his headache. So I wouldn't think you'd want to take any other anti-inflammatory with it at the same time or that would probably really make you have problems.

When Paul had the upper GI to find out why his stomach always hurt, they could see red blotches/spots which the doctor said must have come from the medicine. We stopped taking that and he got better stomach-wise. We had him tested for that h-pylori at the same time, which he didn't have.

I wouldn't take 2 NSAIDs at the same time. As others have posted, they're rough on the tummy.

You could take a narcotic (codeine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc.) but make sure they don't have aspirin, ibuprophen or other NSAID with them. The straight narcotic would be best but not a lot of doctors will prescribe them.

When I was in the ER for my kidney stone in Nov. they gave me Toradol. When I was released, I was told I could take tylenol or aleve if I needed to, but NOT to take ibuprophen (Motrin, Advil, etc) for 8 hours because Toradol is the same type of medication and they should definitely not be taken together. If you need something else, take anything but the motrin.

the Motrin helps with the fibromyalgia not the migraines..the Toradol..helps with the migraines sometimes..if not..then I take the dilaudid.
