Headaches When I eat?
Just wondered if anyone gets a headache when they eat? I have been getting them for about the past 8 years. Have had chronic migraines over 40 years....
The headaches I get when I eat are generally across my forehead and just pound. They will last up to 2 hours, anyone?

Re: Headaches When I eat?
That is funny (not funny ha ha, funny strange!), I have had headaches all my life and they have been chronic for the last decade or so. One of the only times I don't have pain is when I am eating and for about 3 minutes afterwards. It is a wonder that I don't weigh 300lbs.
Do you find that you eat less often? Interesting thread. I can't wait to see what other people say.

No it can be as little as a piece of toast, bowl of cerel. Its very frustrating. I was diagnosed pre-diabetic, but my numbers have not really changed much. I just kinda pass it off as my chemistry.

pain across your forehead is genearally associated with your sinus' as thats where your frontal sinus' are ,the quick check is to run 3 fingers across your forehead and its tender t touch then its your sinus' inflamed.

hannah you do it when you have the headache. if it is your frontal sinus' you will soon tell the difference to what you have felt doing it now when you dont have any pain. x

Re: Headaches When I eat?
Could it possibly be TMJ since chewing obviously brings on or worsens the pain? Just a thought.....

PAIN
hannah, the tmj is your jaw joint and that is where youd expect pain to be if it starts on eating and youd get pain along the back of your jaw radiaitng sometimes along the lower jaw but this pain would not affect your temple. if you do get pain in your tmj it would be worth seeing the dentist for a dental splint to be made but first be sure where the pain is isolated to so you dont pay for something tha doesnt help in a vain attempt to sort out the pain.

Re: Headaches When I eat?
Yes the headache is straight across my forehead does not lead to my jaw or near my jaw. I do have tmj, have had it for years from an ice skating accident as a child. I can chew gum though and don't get a headache, which I rarely do...
I would think its something more chemically, I have many heart issues and they say your heart works the hardest when you eat to digest your food. Perhaps a visit to the cardiologist?
