Pain in the heart area

I've been getting sharp pains in the heart area lately. Like when I bend into the fridge or get up from my desk. It feel like a bubble that needs to burst or something. Real sharp and I hold my breath or take breath shallow and wait until it passes. I've had it before in my life. Does anyone know what that is? It's back again.

Have you checked for a twisted rib? Or the technical name; rib subluxation? Check the symptom for rib subluxation. I've had it for my years and I do feel a similar pain. If it is, a chiro can help you.

I've had that since I was a little girl. Feels like Im having a heart attack, but if I can take a deep breathe the "bubble" passes. I have always thought it was gas.

Very painful when it happens.

It is indeed painful. I've always attributed it to my mitral valve prolapse, although it's different from my regular MVP pain. I know the experience of trying to breathe as lightly as possible because every breath is too painful. My pain also radiates down my left arm, and I can hardly move it. And the pain is just under the breast, not over it like most of my MVP pain. So maybe this is something different!

I've had that before and talked to my doctor about it. He says it's very common and nothing to worry about unless it comes and stays longer than a few minutes. He says it happens to him too and not to worry.

I have costochondritis with my FMS. I get a lot of pain in the heart area, but it comes from the ribs.
Ca be hard to tell though.
