Husband's Health
Oh my goodness. My husband is a diabetic and just turned 40. He takes daily medication. He was supposed to get bloodwork done between October and 12/31. We've been so focused on me that he will run out of pills after this week and hasn't gotten the bloodwork done.
Anyone else have trouble keeping up with their significant others' medical issues? I can't be the only one.

Rachel,
Have him get his bloodwork done, and get a refill. You should be good.
I think we've all gone down that path. I went through a lot taking care of my grandmother and balancing my own health.
Good luck!

Oh, I'm not worried about him getting it all done. He just has to make an appointment with our PCP who will handle all bloodwork and scrips. (Have I mentioned that I *love* our PCP?) It's just that the year is almost over, I'm about to go into the hospital and these things shouldn't be in my brain.
I just did his meds for the week and figured this all out. I went downstairs and gave him a good talking to. :-)

Hello my migraine-husband! Glad to see you made the jump to this site.
My pain ranges from 7 right now - I'm at work! - to a 10 when the snow or rain is falling & I can't do anything but crawl into bed & cry.

Oh, I've been here for a while now. I've got a 4 cooking right now, so I won't be on long. Hopefully you'll find some relief today.
BTW - Did you ever get your Stadol back? It sounds like you need and abortive NOW, before it peaks to an 11!

Nope, haven't gotten my Stadol back yet. My migraine-husband sounds nicer than my real husband.
I go back to the doctor on Thursday... will be asking for something more than Ultram & maybe consulting with a pain management physician, too.

Re: Husband's Health
I just got hubby into the Dr. last week for the first time 25 YEARS. The last time he went was for a insurance exam, and they did the finger-wave on him and that's all she wrote
I drug him because he was urinating a lot and he has diabetes in his family (mother and brother). His blood sugar was a whopping 81! LOL
But, he did make appt to get the plantar's wart taken off his foot that's been bothering him for seven years.
So maybe I broke the ice and he'll go in more regularly.
So, no, hubby DOES NOT take care of himself.
