Home from Atlantic City

Frank and I went to Atlantic City as planned because of the room that he won for a night. We ended up staying another day because of the big snow storm. We didn't feel it was safe to drive home in it. We had a nice time, caught a comedy show and a movie at their IMAX theater. Didn't gamble. So we came home with most of hte money we went with. LOL

Last night was "exciting." We'd gotten back to our room, Frank's back was bothering him, so he was lying down in his underwear when the fire alarm starts going off along with a voice coming from the speakers telling us "ALERT ALERT AN EMERGENCY HAS BEEN REPORTED. PLEASE EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT use the elevators.

DH has mobility issues and I knew there was no way he was going to be able to walk down 52 flights of stairs, so I called security to see what to do. THey said they'd send someone up to help us. About teh time we hit the door, a security officer was there telling us it was fine and we didn't have to leave. Apparently the sprinkler system went off 2 doors down from us. Such a mess. It gave us a good story though.

We came home today. After we got close to Pennsylvania, the roads cleared. New Jersey roads were terrible. It took us 2 hours longer to get home than normal.

Wow - that was an exciting story! We love going to Atlantic City for a karate tournament my son and husband are in in July - it's so much fun, and we don't even gamble! Can't wait to go back. Wish it was July.
