ridiculous way to injure myself.

I thought that taking it easy was a good thing to do yesterdy afternoon as I was getting a bit over tired and migrainy. So I curled up on the sofa with the cat, a magazine and a film.

I put the magazine on the coffee table to persuade the cat not to go to sleep on my foot and then went to pick up the magazine. As I picked it up I twisted my hand slightly and got an incredible pain in my middle fingers.

Befor I knew it I had to take off my wedding ring because the fingers were swelling ang get my watch off fast. I now can't move 3 fingers or pick anything up without pain. I am typing this with one hand.

So I now think I would have been better off not trying to avoid the dangers I get myself into by carrying on through it. If I had carried on with the housework I'd have just got the usual bruises from misjudging distances, not a useless left hand.

Now how do I drive myself 7 miles to minor injuries with a migraine?

Oh my Di. How is it today? I once put my back out getting off the toilet....yes it was very funny, for all those not in pain.

How are you doing today. The silly injuries are the worst. I've hurt my back picking up shoes and getting socks out of the drawer. It makes me crazy when I hurt myself like that. It would be better in my mind if I was doing something, like work or play when I get hurt. But getting socks out of the drawer??? you've got to be kidding me!

All this silly injuries walking into the door frames, holding the wrong end of a knife, seeing what we are doing but not stopping in time, dropping full cups of hot coffee on our foot for not good reason.

It was good thinking to take off the rings, well done.
I hope your hand is getting better.

I also poked myself in the eye checking to see if a lense had fallen out of my glasses!

Alli hope your bak is on the mend.

Am sort of doing stuff very gently with hand today.Have held a plate and then held my spade for a bit whilst doing stuff in the alotment with my right hand. Still can't bear to do things for long. As long as I don't bend the fingers it is OK.

At least I didn't do this in public.

Did you break something or sprain something? I think sprains at time can be worse as they take longer to heal. I hope it heals quickly. Hands are kind of necessary for daily living.

I think it is some kind of sprain but it's going on a bit. I can do stuff with my hand but it hurts a bit and I still can't get the wedding ring back on.
