Occipital Nerve Blocks not magical remedy.. Lol
So I had 2 - one on each side - about 2 wks apart. Still having bad M only a few days after. For me, they were not worth the pain/agony/cost.

Sorry...
So sorry you weren't able to get a good outcome from such an invasive treatment...

I know. I do feel like a guinea pig. I am sorry the nerve blocks didn't help. I had them done too. I HATED the procedure. They did it in a regular office, not an exam room. The put this huge needle into my head, cause me all kinds of pain and then tell me to go back to my room because the next patient is coming in (after like 2 minutes). Just more of the reason I hated MHNI.
I hope that you find something that will help.

I'm so sorry the occipital block didn't work. I've never had one, but I've asked about them several times.
I definitely share in the feeling of being a guinea pig. Feel like I have way too much experience with too many drugs, procecedures, etc.
Hope your head starts to feel better soon. It's so tough, I know.

Oh, gosh, I am so sorry, too.
Is the occipital block temporary or permanent? And what about Botox then, perhaps this would work better for you?
I hope your dr will find something that will work for you, and asap.

occipital nerve block
I had several occipital nerve blocks at the beginning of the year. They were effective, but only until the anesthetic wore off.
I decided to go forth with the radiofrequency of the occipital nerves. It hurt, I'm not gonna lie, but after about a week or so it really did help.
It's been about 8 months and I from time to time get that sharp pain again but it doesn't last too long.
My neuro says that we can do it again any time that i feel like i need it.

yes, it's so disappointing when you believe in something and it does not work....
I still hope that your nerve blocking will work, maybe it just takes to wait..who knows

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I wish we could figure out how to treat this pain. It just sucks.
