Never thought it would happen....
Well... today is day 99 with no migraine. I can't believe it. I don't think this has happened my entire adult life!
I'm coming into the worst time of year for me though... so we'll see how long it lasts.
I hope everyone else is having an easier than normal time of it too!

I honestly can't believe it. It's never happened before. But I'm suspicious... They'll come back. Watch this space

I hope you don't need to fly to go visit your friend. There's not a lot of that happening just now!!
Not pain free, still have headaches pretty much everyday and the usual impending migraine feelings but it just doesn't seem to come to anything. I've been trying not to get too happy about the abscence of full blown migraine though as I'll just be all the more upset when they do eventually come back. It's a sad cycle really!

No its a 250 mile drive, but the roads in England are slow....congested...will take 5 hours.
I used to go every September but haven't been since 2007. She has Parkinson's I need to see her.
I know what you mean about the lack of enjoying the break.
When I get to day 4, I anticipate the next migraine. If it goes past like this month, I am pleased, but it is like living with a volcano (how topical)....know it will erupt, but just not sure when. Gets quite stressful
And I have head pain every day, but think it is from my neck...the FMS

Wow, that's wonderful. I hope your streak continues. I can't say I'm not envious. I've never gone more than 2 weeks without one.

Re: Never thought it would happen....
That's wonderful news. I don't think I ever go a full 24 hours without a headache.
I saw in another post that you are in Scotland. I visited there last May and I felt better than I had in a long time. I still had headaches, but not as bad as in the US. It rained much of the time but there was always a breeze going and I felt great. Although, we were on a tour and I sort of napped when we were on the bus so maybe that helped. The worst one I had was in Edinburgh, interesting that I was the worst in the city. Up in the highlands I felt fantastic...well, for me. I had one through the afternoon, woke up and went hiking at 9:00 PM because it was still so light out. I love your country!

I wish I knew what my secret was, if I did I would tell you all! I'm still taking my preventatives (beta blocker, Atenolol) but I've never gone this long without one before. I normally have to take frequent breaks from them and pick up something else (usually amitryptiline sp?)
Although, I had a moment this morning when I had flickering vision and my heart sank, but my work mate assured me it was the light above my head, she could see it too! Phew!

Re: Never thought it would happen....
So glad it is still continuing. My best is 8 days. And that is the first time in 2 years when I had 12 days.
I wish I knew why they go away. I would keep doing it....
It has nothing to do with medication that I do know.
I read more flight disruptions in Scotland.
Now Iceland are concerned the other volcano might yet erupt.....
Did you get rid of the snow yet?
We have mild and sunny here.
My friend is off home to Scotland for a month next week.

Re: Never thought it would happen....
Hi Pen,
How's things with you today?
I am enjoying my migraine free existance, but I know it's only a matter of time. They're in my family and they all had theirs until they were 50+. I'm just trying to make the most of it. I'm still being cautious tho, there's no way I'm going to push my luck or tempt fate.
If only "they" could find some answers we could all live happy, migraine free days, forever!
I had heard about that second volcano, I really hope it doesn't go off. The British economy must be taking a pounding from all this. (Other countries too of course!)
Is your friend flying in to Scotland? Rest assured, you can tell him/her that the snow has gone. Well, where I am anyway. It's not mild and sunny here like you have, but it's improving slowly. We have had 4 seasons in one week this week! I do still hear "hill snow" on the local radio weather report almost every day!
Will it ever leave!! lol

Re: Never thought it would happen....
HI there,
My friend is flying from Luton I think to Glasgow, she is from near Saltcoats..... lovely views of the Arran.
She has lived here since she was 20 odd. Her sibling and parents moved back and are still there.
Wish I was well enough to go with her, but alas not.
I have no history of migraine in my family and sadly I left 50 behind several years ago.
I don't know why I have them, nor what causes them, except originally hormones, but I try to travel hopefully they will at least improve.
I will tell Bet the snow is gone. I am only sorry she is going for a whole month, and it is May.
I shall miss her and my son is going to Florida so our lives will be very boring in May.
Oh well, it will at least be quiet without the grand kids...
