Congratulations! If others are so ignorant as to think we are trying to get something we do not deserve, that is their problem. My step father used to beat me when I had a migraine because he thought that I was just trying to get out of doing chores. What an ass.

I apologize to you for other's inapropriate comments. Apparently they are not capable of understanding how their comments can hurt and it certainly is apparent that they do not know how to apologize.

Keep a smile on your face and when you have pain free days, enjoy life to the fullest. If anyone ever says anything, pray they suffer the worst migraine there ever was so they can understand.

Enjoy what you have as you can. We know you aren't faking and have years of documentation to prove it. We also know that you wouldn't go through all the treatments if you were faking...believe me, we all will try just about anything to get relief.

There are unscrupulous people out there that will fake things to try to get SSID. My mom used to work in a law firm that dealt with this (but it was more that people were wrongfully terminated for having a disability). They some times had to take people who were a little off...one of their clients did get caught. She claimed she had a back injury that prevented her from doing most things and couldn't lift anything. Well they caught her lifting boxes out of her car and twisting and turning in ways she claimed she couldn't. These are the people you just want to smack because they make it harder for those that truly do have a disability to get the help they really need.

I sincerely hope that the added income will take a burden off of you and allow you to have more tolerable days.

i cant imagine ANYONE on here not agreeing that every one of us deserves to receive disability.

i have suffered with the best of us, and was awarded disability rightfully.
i've been suffering since the 1st grade, and am now 34 (on Monday).
I wasnt alone in the courtroom that day.

You got that right, Susan. We were all with you.
