Howdy

Hard time sleeping last night. I was scratching an itch and found a lump where there ought not be a lump.

My brother and my mother are both cancer survivers, so I know not to mess around. I have calls in to my GP in San Francisco to ask what kind of doctor to look for here in the mountains. the lump is .... well, several doctor specialties qualify and I am not certain which to call.

Worrisome. quite worrisome. Still I do not fear death but I do fear a slow decline. CALL ME BACK - DOCTOR! LOL

It's always something, if it is not one thing, it is another! LOL

I try to keep positive, but this is rather worrisome.

Richard,

I certainly hope that you don't have cancer. That would be the worst, not just for you, but for all of us. I am glad to hear that you will be checking it out soon.

Hugs,
Chris

It would be nice if doctors understood how worried we can get and had set call back hours. Then you would know when they are going to call back instead of making us worry all day. I know they have patients to see, but setting call back hours would be a good idea.

I hope it something as innocous as a boil.

My doctor, a good friend, called me back at his lunch hour. He told me to come or to see a specialists here in the mountains. I checked the phonebook and that kid of spelcialist is not listed. Hmmmm. Off to Doc-In-A-Box Saturday morning ... I really like the doctors there. Perhaps I can get a local referral there.

thank you from the bottom of my worried heart for all your support.

Richard,
you are very wise to be taking this seriousely and being seen promptly. On a more reassuring note, most lumps are NADA , and I have learned to believe this thru many wasted worries! I am super lumpy/ cystic in my old (er) age, yet so far all 3 have been "nothing to worry about"

I know not worrying about it is just about impossible, regardless of what anyone says! I feel for ya, and hope your appointment brings good news. I'm glad Thom is still there with you to help you thru this.

I feel for you Richard. I've had those scary lumps. Both of my parents are cancer survivors as well. Good luck, and let us know what you find out. I'm sure it's nothing, but it's definitely better to be safe.

Hope all goes well Richard, lumps are very often benign so try not to worry. Hubby has been checked for lumps in a couple of places in his
manly parts recently and all is well (not sure if that's where yours are). He's the only one in his family that hasn't had cancer so it's always scarey.

Can It Get any Better Empty Clean Bill Of Health - Well, No Cancer At Least!

Post  Richard Mon Feb 08, 2010 4:30 pm

I had a horrible weekend with the stomach flu that brought on the worst spats of migraine episodes in a long time. My roommate Otis and my boyfriend Thom took real good care of me. I am truly blessed with my friends. But I spent the weekend exploding out both ends (TMI) and completely wiped out.

This morning I dragged myself to my local doctor. No tumor, just a ruptured and enlarged blood vessel. Whew, I had been planning my Memorial Service and now all that worry is to no avail. LOL

thanks IMMENSELY for all your support. Love you guys.

As an expert on puke/poop matters- well done, boy Wink

Seriously, - glad to hear the good news!!!! woo-hoo! I mean - glad it's not cancer.
Surely a ruptured blood vessel is not a fun either.
