Birdies on my deck...
Finally, after long time of procrastinating I took the piccie of them. Or to be correct- my husband did on my request.
A busy birdie grapes, eh? lolol

It's so nice to watch them little birdies enjoying the food provided. They look so cute!
And sometimes we are graced by the visit from the woodpecker, like this one ('net image):

or two, and it's very funny because one of them is pecking hanging at the bird-feeder and the other peeking suspiciously into the windows

Forget the birdies! Look at that scenery in the background! You get to look at that everyday? Lucky you. I get to look at miles and miles of flat cornfields.

Thanks Charlotte!
Indeed I am blessed to have an incredible view from my backyard (only partially obscured)- a great Rocky mountain tops, shaped like a sleeping gorilla to look upon during daytime,
and at nighttime all their slopes are lighted with millions of lights from homes that are built there on the mountain side.
I am embarrassed to say I am not sure what exactly are these tops called, but I know two of them is Seymour and Cypress.
This is "Sleeping Gorilla" as seen from my family room and deck:

unfortunately, the nighttime images aren't turning out good.
I used to live in Manitoba, so I know what you mean about flatness.
After living in BC almost 20 years, however, I learned to appreciate flatness- especially from above.

What a breathtaking view! I love the mountains.
We have badlands in one direction and prairies with rolling hills and sagebrush the other way. Quite different from your views but beautiful just the same (to us anyway).
