Some Sad News

Hello Folks,

I don't know how to say this delicately so I will just give you the facts. One of the members of Ronda's Migraine Page has passed away. Her name was Mary and her user name was Willow. She lived in upstate NY with her adult son and husband. I am not sure if she followed the forum here to this new spot but she did participate at the old one.

Mary had been suffering quite a bit from head pain. She had undergone surgery to install a pain pump last autumn. A few of us kept in contact with a group email. We were so hopeful that this pump would help her to resume a normal life or at least give her some relief from her daily pain. It never did.

One of Mary's friends contacted one of us to say that she had passed away on the operating table early this morning. Unknown to us, she was suffering from a perforated ulcer and they were attempting to fix it. They tried to revive her but sadly were unable.

I'm sure there are few of you who remember Mary and I wanted you to know what happened. She was a sweet, caring woman and I will miss her friendship.

This is truly a very sad news. Mary was indeed a very sweet person and she will be well remembered by people who had any contact with her.
It is a great loss, and she will be much missed.

It all makes me very, very sad.

I came here to Love Mary.......and honor her. She has been part of a special cirlcle of friends for me for some time. I feel blessed to know her as I do.

I pray for her family that is left behind and know the pain they now must endure.

For the post before me by 'Mini'.......I must say I think it would be only kind to remove your discussion of NSAIDS from this particular thread. I do find it a bit off putting and ill placed. Maybe a new and different thread to discuss the dangers of whatever medication class you wish to discuss........just not here.....based on no factual information to the subject at hand............and that is.........

I am so very sorry. I am shocked by these news. Mary was such a sweet, sweet, gentle person.
I can't believe she is gone. Such a tragedy.

I haven't been here for quite some time but I sure remember Mary.

My prayers go out to her family.

This disease can be so devastating.

I often worry about ulcers because I have taken these drugs for so many years and on a daily basis.
