Listen to this:

catchy, isn't it? Very Happy

For some reason, this tune is stuck to me for weeks!

Somebody suddenly recalled it, and now me and my daughter and hubby, too are signing it all the time
(me seriously off-key) sometimes doing crazy digs, laughing our butts off!

Bonkers....? You...? I can't believe that. lol!

I heard that at Polka a long, long time ago. I think I was a kid at some festival and heard it for the first time.

I'll blame Sirius for these next couple songs.

Toto.....Africa

Takes me back to the old days, LOL. 1982!

Heard this one a while back on Sirus. Roxy Music's Avalon.

Wedding Music?

I'm loving early 80's music.

I love the accordian Risa, and this guy can really play. It sure is a catchy tune, I love Polka music!

I like Africa by Toto, I have it on my iPod. It one of the tunes that I listen to, while in the doctor's waiting room. It relaxes me.

Another tune, that I also like and makes me think of times gone by, is Janis Joplin's Me and Bobby McGee:

The first two I remember, yes, and like it too Smile
but half of Janis Joplin album (O Lord won't you buy me...) I was lucky to have recorded on those pre-cassette recorders, so she holds a special place in my heart.
Too bad and too sad she has died so young. Such a talent wasted too early.

Well, I suppose it was such a different culture back then, and probably most of these kids were from abusive backgrounds without adequate help as well.
I hope it's a bit better right now.

I think that the hippie generation, which Janis Joplin was part of, believed that society was too constrained and drugs was the way to loosen up. And of course, the Viet Nam War was raging at the time, and people were protesting it.
