Shopping is good for the soul :)

I was given a $200 gift card for Macys for Christmas and yesterday I finally felt good enough to go spend it. Can I truly express how much I LOVE Macys shoe and clothing sales?

The first thing I did was go check out the shoe sale rack and found the cutest purple suede peep top pumps. AWESOME!!! I also got a pair of navy two strap Mary Jane type pumps. CUTE!!! And a pair of gray pants, a black skirt, and three bouses ( two match the shoes) and I still have $10 left on the card. So between that and what I got for Christmas my work wardrobe is now sufficient and I got two new pairs of super cute shoes.

I feel soooooo much better. I don't even care that I hurt. I have clothes that fit!! yeah!

ok... I'm 48 and a bit old to acting like a kid but ..... shoes!!! clothes!!!

I so miss wearing my heels with my back problems. I haven't worn a skirt or dress since I did it! But my physical therapist is assuring me he will have me back in my pretty shoes.

A good shopping trip is good for the soul. Especially when you have a gift card.

Alli, I wish I had more shoe sense. I go into a shoe store and they all look so pretty but
I have NO IDEA what goes with what! I'm lost in there! I literally have two pairs of heels.
One was the pair I wore with my wedding gown, another is a standard black pair I wear to
wakes and funerals, interviews and formal parties.

I'm happy you got some new things to make your day! Nothing beats getting new clothes
that make you feel great The purple shoes sound awesome, you should post a picture
of them, I'd love to see! Then post a picture of what you'd wear with them because I'm
a giant doofas! LOL

Alli - I am 59 and can feel your excitement. I haven't changed since I was a teenager as far as clothes go.

I love the Mary Janes! I don't think I could handle the heel heights any more (haven't really tried) though.

When do you get to wear them, Alli? Do you have a special event planned?

my boots are starting to fall apart and i treated myself to a new pair of black suede ones! just went back to macy's yesterday to return something, and found a cool purple suede pocketbook marked down 75%. felt awesome to finally start updating some things

I wear them to work. I work in a financial office so I get to dress up and wear my cute shoes. Since I'm sitting most of the time, heels are not a problem. Today is a new outfit day with the purple shoes, black skirt, tights and purple floral top that exactly matches the shoes.

Absolutely love the mary janes! I have an office job too, where I sit most of the time so I can get away with heels.

Occassionally though, if a couple of people are sick I'll have to work the desk and be on my feet. At those times I regret the heels, but have little pride and will kick off my shoes if necessary.

LOL I have stinky feet in stockings so I can never kick off my shoes. Dunno why this is.
Only in stockings or bare feet though, in socks i'm fine! Kind of funny, right?
