new doctor, new migraine management plan

So, I just had my appointment at the headache center at Johns Hopkins last week.

This doctor wants me to try Cymbalta for prevention.

She also gave me Catafran + Migranol NS for acute attacks.
For my menstral migrains she prescribed Reglan + Benadryl.

As for supplements she wanted me to stop the Iodine, vitamin D and Progesterone. That leaves me with:
CoQ10 200mg
Fish Oil/Omega 3000mg
B2/Rioboflaven 400mg
Melatonin 3mg at night

I was really pleased with her knowledge and agressive approach... we'll see if this plan works for me!

My migraines will improve and then I get my period, and it throws me off and I'll get daily headaches for weeks after. Looking forward to some relief!

I googled Catafran and nothing came up. Is it new?

Why did she want you to stop the vitamin D?

when i took cataflam i had high liver enzyems I only tried it a short time. will you be checking yours with blood work ?

Hope the cymbalta helps you. that company that makes that has an assistance program for the cost if you need it.

She wanted me to stop the vitamin D because it is sometimes associated with excess calcium which she says can cause headaches?

She did mention that she will be checking my liver enzymes and I've already done my first bloodwork for her yesterday.

So I won't be starting the cymbalta. My psychiatrist does not want me to take it... going to see if there is another preventative that I can try.
