Flew to conference and back with almost no head issues
My job sent me to a conference for a week. I was a little worried about my head. I was going to an unknown city by myself but I didn't have too much of a problem.
Flying doesn't usually bother my head and this time was no exception. Going to a different climate sometimes does. I'm used to sea level elevation and cool coastal temperatures. I went to a high elevation where it was hot and super dry. I did have a little problem with that but my trusty Maxalt and what seems like gallons of water took care of it.
As some of you know, I love flying so that part was just plain fun for me. However, I have not been in anything but a small private plane since before 911. I was nervous about all the new security rules in place. But I thoroughly studied the TSA website and had no problems. It was so cool to be in a big, powerful jet again. I especially like landings and takeoffs. Oh boy! Push those throttles in, and down the runway you go, gaining speed rapidly. Feel the power! Feel the speed! Yeehaw! When the plane reaches flying airspeed, up you go! I love it. I sat there grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
The conference was great. I learned a lot and gained some good contacts. I'm so happy that everything went so well. In fact in went much better than I expected. I am so grateful to have been able to go and that my head behaved, for the most part. I also feel guilty because I know some of you can't work let alone fly across the country for a work conference and enjoy it.
I have been missing flying terribly and this helped quite a bit.

Yay Chris!
Nothing prettier to me than flying at night and seeing the blue runway lights. Prettiest blue ever...
I flew last month for the first time in several years. Boy, had I missed it...

Glad you had a good trip and yes, I'm jealous you still have an interesting job. I have to be satisfied with any job, for now
