Botox for Migraines...
Okay I looked and it is a long time since this has been discussed.
I had my first series in Feb. felt okay til almost home, then sick for 3-4 days and then developed a migraine for almost 30 days, no let up. I called because of difficulty swallowing, known to be an issue, I saw my PP and we worked it out.
Now May 31 second round, 26 injections forehead, nose, back of head neck and across shoulders. There was more volume per injection this time, they have told me it sometimes takes 3 sets of the procedure to get results. I have not been migraine free since May31st. Nausea in always coming and going, sensetivity to light and sound greatly increased, like back when I was starting out with nothing to help me fight it. I've discussed it with the PP and my Migraine specialist and was simply told "don't go back". If anyone has same or different paths through the Botox jungle, I'd like to hear it. I have to call this week to cancel the next procedure. I have financial aid, I now very few that can afford the 30k that it takes, I want to free that up to help someone that might get relief from the procedures. Thanks for listening!

Re: Botox for Migraines...
Hi Bill,
I did not have the bad side effects from Botox that you did, but it did not work for me either. While it works for many people, there are about 1/3 of us it does not help. I guess we are just in the unlucky set.

botox treatment later this year
My neurologist has approved for me to have botox treatment under the UK National health service. This will be free and there is a waiting list but I am expecting to start in a few months. No drug has ever worked for me and because of the attitude of my place of work I am now having to attend work when headaches (with aura) occur. My migraines are on the increase and am experiencing 2 per month lasting up to 72 hours so I am hoping the botox will help...
botox treatment starts this Friday August 19th
Seeing a Botox specialist this Friday Aug 19th for what I hope is the start of my treatment....I will keep you posted of success or otherwise..
