massage and migraines
Hi, I have had migraines for a long time. For the last 5 years I have been medication free. I got into yoga and it helped. But something new for me is working on loosening my tight "suboccipital muscles" located in the back of the neck. I go to an rmt and she works on these small muscles. Feels much better. It may take a couple months because I think they are stubborn. She has given me some exercises with tennis balls. Maybe someday they will go away fully and completely.

Yes I find massage helpful also. But you have to find someone really good who knows what they are doing.

Re: massage and migraines
I keep on meaning to try massage again. But ever since I had a rather strange experience a few years back it has kind of put me off. I keep a blog of my attempted mig cures and the massage entry can be found on Another Migraine blogspot entry in 2013-03 (soz, can't post the link as not been here long enough, but will try to remember to update the post when I can)
