I just wanted to thank you all for the advise and support we give and receive from one another. This is my rough time of year, and just knowing you all are here with gentle support and knowledge helps so much.

Stupid Midwestern winter storm fronts.

I'm having a sentimental day and I want you to know how much the words on the screen can help.

Yes, the storm fronts! I am in Ohio! When I find that one place, paradise, where I can be free of bad weather, I will let you all know where it is, cause I am gonna get there one of these days!!!

Yes, I'm dreading the next few days here in the Midwest. We're supposed to get an unprecedented 11-16" with 43 miles winds. Our house is totally unprotected, in the middle of open corn fields.

Hubby and I have a monster generator so even if the power goes out in the ice storm we will be good. My fear is us getting snowed in in different places and Robert being at home (though he will do fine, I will be worried sick not being able to get to him).

So far my head is holding up.

Stephgood - I say yes to moving out of the midwest also! It is now 3:30 in the morning and we have lots of ice with more to come tomorrow and my scalp is so sensitive that I can't lie down to try and go to sleep. Figured I would watch TV until the we lose power or I fall asleep standing up...........

I also appreciate this forum and the ability to connect at any time!

I'm in that same band of storms, and we've got about 13 inches forecast, thankfully I'm in a suburban area, so I get some shelter from the winds, but we're now in a blizzard warning, and the local news says there are 179 closings in the broadcast area. And those are just the important ones that get broadcast. Our governor also just declared a state of emergency.

On the plus side, I went back to college and only work part time, so I have a snow day and I don't have to work today. I think I'm going to make a nice pot of soup and enjoy the fact I have a nice warm house, and a kitty that wants to snuggle.
