Irritating fumes at work
We had a line break in our boiler at work. Anti freeze was spilled. Some of the staff got sick, head aches and nausea, and I sent them home. I ended up closing the building for two days.
What cracked me up were the folks who asked me how I was able to stay. I told them they need to understand that that is how I feel EVERYDAY and I am used to working through it (most of the time).
My staff has always been very sympathetic and understanding, but I think it just rose to a true level of understanding.

I honestly don't think people without migraines can ever actually "get" it.
