New Moon has arrived!
I am a huge Twilight fan and my copy of New Moon has arrived this morning the 2 disc special no less!! i am very excited and can't wait to watch it. It is also great for me because it is set mostly in a forest and it rains alot, so no flashing lights or fast moving scenes. I know i should be embarrassed because i am nearly 40 years old but i am not!

Re: New Moon has arrived!
I will gladly show my "out of it" status. What is "New Moon"?
And at the end of a sentence, do you put the period or question mark in or out of the quotation mark?

Hi Richard new moon is the 2nd film of the twilight saga, with Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner in it, all about vamps and shape shifters.

Re: New Moon has arrived!
Richard,
The "Twilight" series has great appeal to Jr. High girls. Hunky werewolves, vampires, ever lasting love but no sex.
I took my adopted granddaughter, who is 13 to see it. That's how I got sucked in to it. Feels kind of creepy though, to be lusting after a 17 year old werewolf.
But, then again, they didn't make 17 year olds like this when I was growing up.
Here's Team Jacob, played by Taylor Lautner

And Team Edward (the vampire) played by Rob Pattinson

Re: New Moon has arrived!
First of all, those pictures are not FAIR. Yeah, okay Jacob looks so much hotter. That has got to be the best picture of him ever. AND That is the worst picture of Edward I've ever seen.
BUT These teams are more based on the characters and not really the looks IMHO. I think all girls swoon over Edward because he is really very romantic. Jacob is more meathead (cars, muscle, motorcycles!) and hotness!
AND I'm neither team Jacob nor team Edward. I like both of 'em. They are both gorgeous. Can't wait for the next movie to come out!

Edward is big stuff over here now (Robert).
Being English he gets a bit of fuss made of him,.
Everyone seems to have forgotten he was Frederick Diggery in Harry Potter.

Re: New Moon has arrived!
Sadly he died in HP didnt he....Watch it, he speaks English....without a trace of Dick Van Dyke.
And for what its worth I read Twilight. (Badly written book)
I discovered it for my daughter and she has introduced it to so many friends.
I was quite the hip trend setter there......
We all knew about it a couple of years ahead of anyone else here.
I picked up on it from one of my Utah friends reading it.
When Jo got the DVD we all watched it, and even my husband enjoyed it.
Not seen New Moon yet. Waiting for it to come. It was pre order.
Apparently not pre enough..
Meanwhile I am into Vampire Diaries.

Re: New Moon has arrived!
Isn't it fun when you "discover" something long before anyone else does?
I saw "Cats" in 1981 the year it debuted in London. I felt like such a sophisticate when it made such a hit in the States a year later.
I miss London. I had the wonderful opportunity to live there for three months when I was in college. I've been able to go back twice and absolutely adore that City. London and San Fran are my favorite places in the world.

Re: New Moon has arrived!
I lived at 54 Onslow Gardens in Kensington.
London is so easy to get around.
The only problem I had was horrible migraines from all the exhaust fumes. Loved hitchhiking all around and taking the ferry over to Ireland. My mother said she always appreciated that she got my letters WEEKS after I had returned safely. I'm sure you remember at that point the Yorkshire Ripper was all over the news, even in the U.S.
Also not sure about the wisdom of hitchhiking through Belfast and Northern Ireland, but oh what fun we had when we caught up with the Armagh Rugby team!

Re: New Moon has arrived!
Um, wasn't he CEDRIC Diggory? Not Fredrick? Sorry, but I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, much more so than a Twilight fan - the books are better written.
The license plate on my car reads "born a wizard, raised a muggle."
And that answers Richard's question - the punctuation goes inside the quotation marks - at least, here in America it does. That's what I was taught in editor school (and yes, I did actually go to editor school).
Oh, and TEAM EDWARD all the way Gotta love the vampire!

Sorry, yes he was. Slap on the wrist for my daughter, or me needing a hearing aid.
And I agree, they are better written. I couldnt even get through the Twilight books.
Terrible. She is lucky she got anywhere. Years ago she wouldnt have.

I was going to say Cedric, too, but you beat me to it Bubbs
Another lady living in Twilight zone, lolol.
I'm gonna be getting my New Moon copy any day now.
I only hope Canada distributors won't screw it up for me with captions like they did with last HP and theHalf Blood Prince DVD and do put either English subtitles or CC on the New Moon, grrrr

Me too Richard. I thought they were talking about the celestial object because a new moon was showing about the same time the message showed up. I thought, "Great, someone else here is interested in astronomy."

Re: New Moon has arrived!
I am interested in astronomy Chris. I dont know anything really but love the sky and the stars....
New Moon is probably more for the youngsters, but we have sat through that and Twilight (hubby too)
They are not bad. Just a bit of far fetched fun really....Don't even consider the books though....really badly written.

Ricahrd - the question mark goes outside the quotation marks. You did it right. The whole sentence is a question so it goes outside. Now, if only the quotes was a question such as, She said, "who is it?", the question marks goes inside the quotation marks.
