candied ginger

Post  Kem10 on Tue Jul 22, 2014 5:59 am

I have found that nibbling on a piece or two of candied fresh ginger helps a lot with mild to moderate nausea with a migraine. Just wanted to pass that along in case it might help someone else.

Ginger helps me, but I am not keen on anything too sweet, especially when I feel a little sick. So I buy some fresh ginger root, slice it finely, and make a supply of tea by pouring hot water over it and boiling it, for a minute or two in the microwave. IT is really quick and simple. I make it very strong then add some more water to each cup when I need to use it.
If you like, you can add some honey to the tea, but I prefer it as it is.
