Update on Botox and Recurrent Migraines
Well, the few weeks where the Botox seemed to be lessening the intensity of my M's are over. I will still try a second round next month, based on the stories and advice I've read here.
In the meantime, I'm going, yet again, to my NP this pm, to get Demerol, Toradol, Phenergan and either steroids or a Benadryl injection. The storms that have come through here lately are wreaking havoc with my pain levels, and having hormonal changes, as well as a full moon on Friday the 13th are all setting me off. I just want to be in a coma for a few weeks until things settle down.
Going to sign off now to work on my messy dining room table for 15 minutes. Yesterday, I felt well enough to do some beadwork, and I had no clean surface to work on, so I went to the lobby of my apartment building and designed away for 3 straight hours. The lighting in the lobby is mostly natural light that comes in from the north, and it felt good to socialize with people who stopped by to see what I was doing. Unfortunately designing the bag I am making made my eyes go buggy and made the M worse. Spent the afternoon curled up in my recliner with ice on my head.

Update on Botox and Recurrent Migraines
I did feel better last evening after receiving the cocktail, then I took my regularly scheduled cocktail of Phenergan, Benadryl, Ibuprofen and Magnesium.
Laid down in my recliner with some ice and ate a yogurt while watching TV. Next thing I know, it was midnight and time for more meds. Slept in two hour increments after I went to bed.
Today, feeling better, but not great (pain level of 5-7). The good thing is my NP decreased my dose of Demerol to 50 mg (I had been on 100 mg) and added dexamethasone back in, and I still got relief.
Hugs and prayers welcome
