I keep reminding myself that triggers have a combined effect.
I know that, but I keep forgetting about it because occasionaly I can get away with some triggers (such as dehydration, or mild tiredness), but when I take risks and on top of that, and allow myself to get hungry or eat some wrong food, get stressed, or use some scented soap my body soon rebels and bad migraine is certain to follow.

So, when we know that we are likely to be in certain situation - like visiting family, going out to eat, or to a party, or worst of all when we need to travel long distance and we are likely to be exposed to many triggers, we have to be especially careful and prepare ourselves by carrying enough water, keeping some healthy snacks ready and making sure that we get enough rest before and after the event.

Dehydration and bright sunshine are some of my worst triggers, but also many, many foods so I need to be careful all the time, but it is so easy to forget or to get carried away in company of other people.

Thanks for the reminder! For me I think when we are traveling or out and about I somehow dupe myself into believing that just this one time it will be different and I will make it through without a problem..........wishful thinking I guess that I can pretend to be just like everybody else! We recently traveled to my son's graduation and there was a full day of activities - my husband kept asking me how I was doing or if I was okay.........kind of irritating at the time but I know it is only because he cares!

Your husband sounds wonderful JM. Sometimes this kind of gentle remanders are exactly what we need (even if it can seem a little irritatating at times).
I also find, that when I get overexcited during some happy occasions, like you, I also begin to feel invincible, then pay the price.
Congratulations about your son's graduation.
Today we have a terribly cold and windy weather in UK, and ofcourse my head has woken me up with a nasty pang. Sadly we cannot do much about this particulart trigger.

So it is Imitrex, toast and fresh vegetable soup and a very quiet day for me today, I do not want to risk any more triggers.
Hope youe head is not too bad today.
