question about fatigue Empty question about fatigue

Hi All,

I am not sure if it is the headaches or the fainting disorder that is causing me to be so tired right now. Now, I find myself so worn out that I want to go bed around 8pm. I am sure that both pain and fainting can cause this, but I was wondering if this happens to anyone else? I used to go to sleep around ten, but now, I am so tired that I get in bed around 83O, am asleep by 9:3O and usually get up at seven. I don't have a problem getting out of bed in the morning, but I tire easily and am just tired at 8. Does anyone else have this?

Pain free days,

Yes, I had a lot of fatigue when I was having headaches all the time. I had to lay down by mid afternoon. After I started taking iodide for the thyroid, my energy levels came back to normal. It was great. I stopped taking the iodide for a month and was getting very draggy again. In bed early in the evening. So I've started the iodide again. I'm finding it helps. I don't know if it's the thyroid, or a reaction to the chronic pain that causes all the fatigue, but many people seem to report the problem. Guess they are probably related.

Sailing, I have extreme fatigue also. I take a nap every day and get about 7 hours at night most of the time. Most of mine I attribute to Lyme disease. Zoe has a huge problem with fatigue and has under gone much testing without anything showing up. When she is not busy, she is in bed. She was put on Adderal a few months ago to counteract the effects of Nortryptiline(sp). Now her heart rate is too high, so more testing. Not a great life for younger people!

Hi there,

When I've got a migraine I have to drag myself through the day. But when I go to bed early it's more because I can't function and just give up on being vertical than because I feel fatigued. I've had that feeling of fatigue from medications and when I'm ill with a flu. I used to faint all the time when I was younger and that didn't make me fatigued either - I just used to pass out and then vomit and I'd feel fine.

Maybe if you're feeling really fatigued you're also fighting off a virus? Or have you recently started new medications? Sorry - because I don't know your medical history I'm just guessing. silent Hope you feel better soon though!

I also have a lot of fatigue. Your condition/s could be evolving, you could be developing something new, or it could just be a short term think from activity level or illness or meds...hard to know really. I'd keep an eye on it, keeping a log if you see that as potentially helpful, and consult your doctor/s if worried or curious. Any other symptoms unexplainable by your diagnosed conditions, or new meds? Basic bloodwork like thyroid, B&D vitamins, blood count, etc, is easy.

Personally, I moreso have the fatigue such that I am very groggy all morning, kinda worn out in the afternoon, and then by bedtime, a lot of times I have trouble falling asleep (not too much of a problem with my muscle relaxer though). I do have a fibro diagnosis, fatigue is common with chronic pain conditions like NDPH, and my meds also cause fatigue! Best wishes.
