Aura AFTER pain

Aura AFTER pain
When I am lucky enough to get an aura it's about 20-30 before the pain hits. I like my auras because I can medicate right away and usually salvage the day.
Today I woke up with a doozy (winter storms moving in) but went to work anyway hoping the pain meds would kick in. They didn't and I started vomiting so headed home. On the way home I got an aura. I have never had one AFTER the pain has started.
The visuals were typical for my migraines, just the timing was so different. Does this mean I'm going ti get hit even harder later?
Is this normal for us?
