Does anyone else have a high fever going around..I'm 103

Freezing like crazy..now I'm burning up and I can't cool down.

Sounds as if you have the flu. Drink plenty of liquids. Try ice packs to get that fever down. 103 seems high. If it goes any higher, I would go to the ER and call ahead with your symptoms.

yikes greeneyes....sorry i haven't responded.

don't hide from the ER too long. make sure you drink plenty of fluids (gatoraide). i was in the ER in march for a fever. they suggested Tylenol (can't really take anything else). it really shot my heart rate up.

Wendy, Are you sure you have a virus? I thought I remembered that some of the dangerous side effects of Effexor were fever and chills, so I looked it up. It is one that says to call the Dr. right away. If no one else close to you has been ill, maybe you should call your Dr. just to make sure. 103 is high for an adult! I sure hope you feel better soon.

That is concerning. Fever chills and mood changes are all listed as"seek immediate medical attention" for effexor. I don't think you can rule this out as possible severe side effect.

Has that fever gone down? I sure hope you called the Dr. or went to the ER. We want to keep you in the land of the living. Let us know what is going on.

I am very concerned we never heard back. I hope she was able to get off that stuff okay and is recovering. Sometimes these drugs are like Russian roulette and you never know which ones are going to give you more problems than when you started

Greeneyes posted on facebook what happened. She did end up at the hospital and in an ICU for a few days, she said it was renal failure. I don't know more specifics than that but I know she's home and recovering. She may be too ill yet to post but know that she did seek medical help and is hopefully on the mend.

Thanks for posting this. It is hard to worry about someone and be unable to contact them! I hope she is feeling better soon.
