I get cold. The heat is on 80 degrees in my house right now and i'm freezing and shivering.
I imagine hot flashes aren't unusual since I get the opposite effect.

I get so restless when I'm migraining. I lay in bed shaking. Every time i'm in pain, regardless
of what pain i'm in I shake my leg. I don't know what makes me do this, but i've done it
through labor and kidney stones as well. Who knows? If I can't lay down like tonight, I end
up pacing around the house or keeping myself busy with dull activities. Right now I must
look like a freak. I'm sitting in my completely dark bathroom with my computer at the
dullest it can be. It has an exhaust fan in it which has a nice white noise that blocks out
all the other noises in the house so they don't seem as harsh.

Ahh..gotta love the life of a migraineur. Neutral

I usually get really cold--icy hands and feet--with shivering when I'm starting a migraine. Sometimes after I take the abortive meds and they've had a chance to work, then I'll get a hot flash.

I'm with Becky... when I'm having the symptoms I'm cold and shivering. When my meds kick in, I often get hot flashes and sweat like crazy.

I get flushes so strong they almost hurt. The make me more restless than hot.
Worse since menopause.

What do you mean? that you shake your leg on purpose to take your mind away away from M pain?
I do that sometimes, too! and whine, too, quietly, because sometimes lying still while in the throes of worst M episode is unbearable!

Risa,
I don't really know if I do it on purpose. I know it takes my mind away from the pain for sure.
I whine too, usually at night I have to go lay on the couch because I'll keep my hubs up with
shaking the bed and whining. The leg shaking thing is like second nature to me. I just look
down and notice i'm shaking my leg, so I don't think it's a conscious behavior but I realize
I'm doing it. I think its like a coping mechanism almost like breathing exercises during labor.
