Chapters/Indigo...
Are you guys with Chapters/Indigo, the big booksellers chain store?
I am, and they just send me an email/offer asking to participate in writing a review, among many other, about Mistress of the Death.
You may win something if you do that.
I immediately thought of you, Vicky, if you signed up with them you could easily participate and quite possibly win as you have such a great writing style.

Re: Chapters/Indigo...
Risa, did I write about having just read that book, or did you pick me out of nowhere on it? I can't recall writing about it, so that is a very odd coincidence!
Actually, I already wrote one review of the book on Facebook. I liked the book so much that I have ordered the second in the series. It's a very refreshing take on historical fiction.
But where is this contest? The link appears just to be a link about the book itself. I'd be intersted in entering, since I wouldn't have to read the book again!

LOL Now that you asked Vicky I am not sure,
but I think yes you did wrote recommending this book that's why I immediately thought of you,
as it was the first position at Irewards site that was sent to me.
But it doesn't have to be this particular book, it can be any book you recently purchased from them and read.

ps,
- purchased from them because this is the only way they'll know what did you read and when.

So does this mean that I can't enter if I bought the book elsewhere? I am only vaguely familiar with this store and get all my books on Amazon, usually the Marketplace option, since it usually is cheaper.

Re: Chapters/Indigo...
You probably can't enter if you are not a member of Irewards,
but you can purchase a book anywhere I suppose.
I think it works this way - if you make purchase at Chapters using your account with them, that's how they'll know it
and then they'll send you an invitation to participate in a review or whatever.
But I doubt it matters otherwise whether or not the book you'll chose to write your review about was purchased at Chapters/Indigo.
The membership annual fee in Canada cost $25, but it's well worth it as you'll get a $25coupon right away
with $5 off here and there for printed books, electronic books, and others.
plus you'll always have some %%% off here and there sometimes up to 75% off the prices
then there is always this 5% -10% off in store for members.
Here's the info about membership privileges:

You just have to buy enough books in a year to save 25 bucks on them to make your membership worthwhile, and it's easy if you buy online as sometimes it is even cheaper this way.
I dunno, once I've signed up for Irewards, I have never regretted doing that.
