Does pain make you tired

Hi All,

I was just wondering if pain made anyone else tired? Lately, the migraines and fainting have been wiping me out. Does this happen anyone else.

Pain makes me tired. Preventative meds make me tired. Triptans make me tired. I am just tired.

Oh yes.......it surely does.

Very tired!

God yes! I take a 2-3 hour nap almost every day. Between the meds and just plain hurting.... I'm exhausted.

I take a long nap every day too....

Never nap, cant sleep in the daytime and if I do feel awful when I wake.

yes sleep in day does make you feel groggy when you wake but triptans do knock us out if the mig doesnt and it needs sleep to recover from it.

I don't think the constant pain makes me physically tired so that I need to sleep but it wears me out, makes me feel exhausted. It "knocks the stuffing out of me" and I end up listless and can't be bothered with much. It takes a real effort to turn things round and to realise that I'm sliding into depression again.

I'm pulling myself back from that point again now.

Unfortunately, my insomnia is just as bad as my migraines.
When I'm in tons of pain, I can't sleep. My body is physically tired most days, due to the chronic pain. (as well as nerve pain in my legs)
Yet when I try to sleep, I am unable to 'tune out' my thoughts or the pain.

Even sleeping meds have not helped me lately. The past 2 weeks has consisted of bed at 11:30pm-ish, and getting up at 2:30am until the following night.

I am exhausted because of the migraines yet unable to sleep because of them. I only get about 2 maybe 3 hours of sleep if I'm lucky at night. I do lay down during day and try to nap or just rest but I guess since we all have such severe pain our bodies can't handle it and we just stay tired??

Yes, I, too nap daily.

Yes, I'm always tired. In my case I think the pain keeps me from getting a good nights sleep. I doze, but I don't go into a deep REM sleep. I can seldom get completely comfortable.

Every so often on my day off I'll fall into a deep, deep sleep around 1:00 pm in the afternoon. Those naps are so luverly!
